Colorado Congressional Candidate John Flerlage receives Colorado AFL-CIO and AFSCME Endorsements.

(Littleton, CO, July 9, 2010) – Flerlage for Congress is announcing that John Flerlage, Democratic nominee for U.S. Congress in Colorado’s Congressional District Six, has received the endorsement of the Colorado American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (Colorado AFL-CIO).   The AFL-CIO is a voluntary federation of 56 national and international labor unions dedicated to improving the lives of working families.  Its 11.5 million members include people from all walks of life — teachers, miners, firefighters, farm workers, engineers, pilots, public employees, doctors, nurses, musicians, painters, plumbers, and writers, to name but a few.

Flerlage also reports receipt of the endorsement of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees’ (AFSCME) Denver Political Action Committee and Colorado Council 76 Executive Board.   AFSCME keeps close tabs on all matters that directly affect its members as workers, and encourages members to donate and devote time to the election of candidates who share its values.

“I anticipate that these endorsements will lead the way to support from other AFL-CIO affiliates who share my desire to advocate for prosperity and opportunity for all working families,” said Flerlage.  “I value their support and welcome their participation in my campaign.”
