To My Fellow Citizens:
I’m registered as a Republican, but this is about to change.
Reasons -- I’ve witnessed too many Republican Senate and House members consistently voting “NO” to legislation that would help this country emerge from its current economic problems, provide health care to our citizens, extend unemployment assistance to those that have lost their jobs, etc. I’ve also witnessed Mike Coffman consistently voting with the Republican Party “orders” to obstruct and delay any Democratic initiatives that would help our country, even if it would help his own district’s citizens. Examples of where the Republican party continues to be dead wrong is its reluctance to support new regulations to reign in Wall Street for its multiple abuses, a new consumers' advocacy agency, and even greater oversight of the oil and gas industry. Need I continue??
For these reasons and many more, I’m supporting John Flerlage as someone who will provide fresh leadership for our congressional district. We need someone who will represent the citizens of the 6th Congressional District, not vote in accordance with his party’s instructions. I’m most impressed with John’s integrity – doing what’s best for our district and our country. Mr. Coffman sides with partisan politics and the interests of his sources of funding.
And for those die-hard Republicans, I suggest you vote for John this November and give him the opportunity to demonstrate how he can serve you so much better than Mr. Coffman. Remember that you have the opportunity to vote for your Congressional representative every two years – and all you have to lose this November is Mike Coffman.
Sincerely yours,
Martin Allen
