John Flerlage Discusses Veterans
As a Marine veteran of twenty-two years, I know how important it is for Americans to respect and honor the sacrifice of all Veterans. As long as I am in office, I will do everything in my power to ensure that our troops, our Veterans, and their families, receive all the benefits and support that they have earned through their honest and faithful service to our nation. I will promote the following:
- Full funding for an accounting of POWs and MIAs
- Transition to electronic health records for Veterans and elimination of the claims backlog at the VA
- Support for PTSD research and care
- Secure jobs and support programs to eliminate Veteran homelessness
- Support for Gulf War Syndrome research and treatment
- Support for educational programs for Veterans and modernization of the GI Bill
- National Day of Recognition for Vietnam Veterans
